Turn pictures into coloring pages and paint them yourself: original Pearto art, a mandala maker, or your own photo turned into line art

How to use it

  1. Pick a picture from the gallery or the mandala maker, or upload a photo and adjust the line detail until the page looks right.
  2. Choose a color from the palette or the custom picker, then paint with the brush or fill an entire white area with one tap.
  3. Turn on the magic wand and tap a white area to lock it — your colors then stay inside those lines. Young painters can switch to kid mode for bigger controls.
  4. Add stickers, undo mistakes, zoom with the wheel or a pinch, and keep going later: the work is saved on this device. Download PNG/JPG or print the finished page.

Processing and limitations

Browser

All gallery art and stickers are original Pearto artwork. Photo conversion is a local luminance/edge pipeline, not ML: busy backgrounds and low-contrast photos may produce imperfect lines. Photos are processed at up to 1600 pixels on the longest side. Saved pictures stay on the current browser profile and are not synced between devices or accounts. Painting quality and speed depend on the device.

Questions and answers

Can I turn my own photo into a coloring page?

Yes. The photo is converted on this device with a local edge-detection pipeline and the detail slider re-runs the conversion live. The photo is never uploaded.

What does stay-in-the-lines magic do?

It locks one white region between the lines. Fills, brush strokes and stickers are clipped to that region until you tap another area or turn the magic off, so colors do not run over the outlines.

Is my artwork saved?

Yes, on this browser profile. The page saves automatically while you paint and offers to continue on your next visit. It is not synced to your account or to other devices.

Is Paintbook suitable for young children?

Yes. Kid mode makes the controls bigger and enables stay-in-the-lines automatically. The simple gallery pages have thick outlines and large regions designed for the youngest painters, while detailed pages suit adults.

Where do the pictures and stickers come from?

Every gallery page, the mandala generator and all stickers are original Pearto artwork. No third-party images, fonts or model assets are used.
